ICP Laboratory Supervisor (Precious Metals)

About the role

Alfred H Knight is seeking an ICP Laboratory Supervisor for its Precious Metals ICP Department in Liverpool. The role supports wet chemistry laboratories, acting as the first point of contact for lab submissions and ensuring precise, accurate analytical services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Precious Metals ICP Department and ensure efficient laboratory operation.
• Act as the first point of contact for lab submissions, maintaining high analytical standards.
• Collaborate with the ICP Manager and laboratory teams to meet daily priorities.
• Provide technical guidance to ICP Operators and Sample Preparation technicians.

Required profile

• Strong team player with a collaborative approach and high attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Good manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 10 kg occasionally.
• Proven time‑management and quality‑driven work ethic.

Required skills

• ≥3 years hands‑on experience operating an ICP‑OES spectrometer.
• Experience creating and validating analytical instrument methods.
