ICT & Computing Teacher – Bedford Secondary School

About the role
Randstad Education is seeking an enthusiastic ICT and Computing Teacher to inspire pupils in a forward‑thinking secondary school in Bedford. You will deliver engaging digital lessons, support hands‑on learning and help shape the department’s future.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and teach interactive ICT and Computing lessons for KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) students.
- Prepare, assess and mark coursework in line with the UK National Curriculum.
- Guide pupils safely through software applications, coding languages and online safety practices.
- Maintain a focused classroom environment where equipment is respected and all abilities are supported.
- Contribute to departmental growth by updating resources, exploring new educational technologies and supporting extra‑curricular tech clubs.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS; early‑career teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience teaching ICT or Computer Science in a UK secondary school.
- Strong understanding of current technology trends, online safety and computing curriculum standards.
- Effective classroom management techniques that foster positive behaviour.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Randstad.
