ICT Technician

About the role
DK Huxter Ltd supports primary schools across Essex by managing and developing their ICT infrastructure. As an ICT Technician you will ensure the smooth operation of school networks and related hardware and software, providing essential technical support to staff and students.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot school network equipment, including switches and routers.
- Install, configure, and repair desktop computers, laptops, printers and other peripheral devices.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues on Windows and macOS platforms.
- Monitor and optimise ICT infrastructure performance to minimise downtime.
- Provide on‑site technical assistance to teaching staff and report any recurring issues.
Required profile
- Proven experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently across multiple school sites.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Desirable experience in a school or educational environment.
