Imaging Geophysicist – Full‑time (Surrey)

About the role

Our award‑winning client is seeking an Imaging Geophysicist to join their energy exploration team in Surrey. You will work on cutting‑edge seismic imaging projects, applying advanced algorithms to deliver high‑quality subsurface models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) workflows for depth imaging.
• Implement and optimise Kirchhoff, Reverse Time Migration (RTM), LSRTM and tomography techniques.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate imaging results into exploration studies.
• Produce clear technical documentation and deliverables for clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geophysics or a related discipline.
• Up to 5 years of experience on FWI and depth imaging projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
