Implementation Specialist – Insurtech

About the role

R13 Recruitment is partnering with a fast‑growing insurtech business to find an Implementation Specialist for their UK team. The role blends commercial insurance knowledge with technology implementation, working closely with clients to translate their products and pricing into the company’s platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the implementation and onboarding of new insurance clients.
• Work directly with clients to understand their products and requirements.
• Review pricing structures, rating rules, policy documents and product information.
• Translate insurance requirements into the technology platform.
• Configure and test products, identifying issues and improvements.
• Collaborate with technical and international teams to resolve queries and deliver solutions.
• Provide client training and support through to successful implementation.
• Maintain implementation documentation and seek process improvements.
• Identify potential growth opportunities within clients and refer them to the wider team.
• Attend client meetings, industry events and expos, with travel as required.

Required profile

• 2–3 years’ experience within commercial lines insurance.
• Good knowledge of commercial insurance terminology and classes of business.
• Experience with brokers, insurers or the London insurance market (advantageous).
• Commercial, personable and confident with a genuine ability to build relationships.
• Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Confident working with Excel and detailed information.
• Natural problem‑solver who enjoys understanding how things work.
• Interest in technology and comfort learning new platforms.
• Proactive, curious and confident asking questions and suggesting improvements.
• German language skills are a significant advantage; Spanish or Italian also beneficial.
