Import Brokerage Clerk – Road & Sea Freight

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import Brokerage Clerk to join a busy customs team. The role is office‑based in Feltham and focuses on handling UK road freight import clearances while also supporting occasional sea freight entries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit UK import customs declarations via the CDS system.
• Process entries using ASM Sequoia and manage IPAFFS notifications where required.
• Review import documentation for accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Liaise with customers, hauliers, ports and government agencies to facilitate smooth clearance.
• Track the progress of customs entries, resolve delays and maintain detailed records.
• Provide timely updates and high‑quality customer service throughout the import process.

Required profile

• Previous experience in UK customs clearance or brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of import customs legislation and procedures for road and sea freight.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ASM Sequoia.
• Experience using the CDS platform.
• Knowledge of IPAFFS import notification requirements.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office applications.

What we offer

• Competitive salary up to £39,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (09:00‑17:30).
• Office‑based role in Feltham, South East England.
