Import Brokerage Clerk – Roadfreight Customs Clearance

About the role

The Import Brokerage Clerk will join the Brokerage department of a logistics provider operating near London Heathrow. The role focuses on managing road‑freight customs clearances for inbound shipments, ensuring compliance and timely release of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entry documentation for road‑freight imports.
• Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders and customs authorities to resolve clearance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions in the company’s system.
• Monitor shipment status and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting.

Required profile

• Previous experience in air‑freight import customs entries.
• Familiarity with road‑freight customs processes.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑17:30.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cargowise or similar customs brokerage software.
