Import Operations Clerk

About the role

We are looking for an Import Operations Clerk to join our small, dynamic team at an established freight forwarding company in Sunbury‑on‑Thames. The role supports the Import Air & Ocean and courier department, handling customs entries and assisting with parcel collection and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs documentation for air and sea imports.
• Coordinate with carriers, agents and customers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
• Provide administrative support to the Import Air & Ocean team, including data entry and record keeping.
• Collect small parcels from a local location and deliver them to Colnbrook courier depots using a company vehicle (approximately one hour per trip, four weeks per year).
• Assist with customer enquiries, offering clear and professional service.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and proactive attitude.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work flexibly within a small team.

Required skills

• Good IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of customs entry procedures.
