In-House Construction Lawyer – Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our in‑house legal team on a fixed‑term basis. You will act as a trusted adviser to project teams, commercial managers and senior leadership across a wide range of construction and infrastructure matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts including NEC3, NEC4, JCT suites and FIDIC agreements.
• Provide legal advice on contractual obligations, risk allocation and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support claims management, dispute avoidance and resolution, including adjudications and external counsel coordination.
• Develop precedents, guidance materials and contract playbooks to improve consistency.
• Deliver legal training to commercial and project teams on key contractual and risk issues.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
• 3‑5 years PQE with strong construction law experience, either in private practice or in‑house.
• Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
