In-House Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for a secure, steady role with an in-house team? We are looking for a reliable sparky to deliver high-quality electrical repairs, testing, and refurbishments across local residential properties. If you take pride in sharp fault‑finding and customer satisfaction – ensuring homes stay safe and fully operational – we want to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Repairs & Fault Finding: troubleshoot single‑ and three‑phase systems, replace electric showers, and swap immersion elements.
• Testing & Certification: carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), and issue Electrical Installation / Minor Works certificates.
• Safety & Compliance: work strictly to current BS 7671 (Part P) regulations and report urgent health‑and‑safety defects directly to the Qualifying Supervisor.
• Job Management: log jobs digitally via mobile/PDA and manage van stock accurately.

Required profile

• Qualifications: C&G 2330 (or equivalent) plus C&G 2382 (18th Edition).
• Licence: full UK driver’s licence.
• Experience: proven track record in domestic fault‑finding, repairs and customer‑facing service.
• On‑Call: willingness to participate in an Emergency Out‑of‑Hours rota.
• Tech skills: comfortable using smartphone/PDA applications for daily workflows.
• Desirable: C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing certification.
• Health & Safety: must pass Face‑Fit testing for safety masks (clean‑shaven, exemptions apply).
