Inclusion Lead

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Inclusion Lead to join the SEND Support team at Bournemouth and Poole College. The role involves working closely with students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure they receive personalised support throughout their college experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a designated caseload of SEND students, acting as their key worker and advocate.
- Collaborate with curriculum teams, Academic Support Assistants, families and external professionals to plan and deliver support.
- Lead and prepare multi‑agency meetings such as Annual Reviews and other reviews.
- Monitor student progress, adapt support strategies and maintain accurate records.
- Line‑manage Academic Support Assistants within the curriculum area, overseeing recruitment, induction and performance development.
- Deliver SEND and inclusion training to college staff.
- Conduct learning walks, observations and quality‑assurance activities to improve SEND provision.
- Champion equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding in all duties.
