Inclusion Room Manager (Qualified Teacher) – Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for an outstanding Inclusion Room Manager to lead the Inclusion Room in a welcoming mainstream school in Reading, Berkshire. This full‑time, term‑time position offers the chance to make a real difference each day by supporting students who need temporary placement outside mainstream lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Inclusion Room.
• Provide high‑quality support for students with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
• Deliver tailored learning activities to keep students on track academically.
• Promote positive behaviour and help students make better choices.
• Develop individual support plans and behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, families and external agencies.
• Monitor progress, attendance and behaviour outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with strong behaviour management skills.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
