Inclusion Room Manager – Qualified Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an outstanding Inclusion Room Manager to lead our dedicated Inclusion Room in a welcoming mainstream school in Reading. This full‑time position supports students with behavioural, emotional and social needs, helping them re‑integrate into mainstream lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Inclusion Room.
• Provide high‑quality support and intervention for students placed temporarily outside mainstream classes.
• Deliver tailored learning activities and monitor academic progress.
• Develop individual support plans and behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, families and external agencies.
• Track attendance, progress and behaviour outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with strong behaviour management skills.
• Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
