Inclusion Teaching Assistant – Primary School

About the role

We are recruiting an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Slough. Working closely with teachers, the SEN team and external professionals, you will help pupils with special educational needs achieve their full potential in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Deliver structured learning support and promote pupil independence.
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans, behaviour support plans and SEND provision.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Support effective behaviour management and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Promote inclusion and equal access to learning opportunities for all pupils.

Required profile

• Experience in an inclusion, SEND or educational setting, or a strong desire to develop in this area.
• Genuine passion for helping every child succeed.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resilient, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing pupil and school needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining the highest professional standards.
