Income Assistant (Hybrid, Temporary)

About the role

This temporary Income Assistant position supports the Income and Credit Control team of a well‑regarded education institute in North West London. Working hybrid with one day on‑site per week, you will help ensure accurate income processing, timely reconciliations and high‑quality service for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Record all income received across multiple payment channels.
• Perform daily reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Process debit and credit‑card transactions and liaise with payment service providers.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and control‑account checks.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with internal procedures and audit requirements.
• Support refund processing while complying with financial policies and AML regulations.
• Manage shared finance inboxes, responding to queries professionally.
• Conduct data‑validation checks to preserve information integrity.
• Contribute to month‑end and year‑end financial processes and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance or administrative role within a busy environment.
• Strong numerical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Customer‑focused attitude and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
