Indirect Tax Assistant Manager – Leeds

About the role

KPMG’s Indirect Tax practice is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Leeds office. You will work within a national team of tax specialists, delivering high‑quality VAT, customs and environmental tax advice to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advisory services on a broad range of indirect tax issues, including VAT, customs duties and environmental taxes.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, identifying innovative solutions and new business opportunities.
• Support business development initiatives and sales activities, building both B2B and B2C connections.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering technical and commercial growth.
• Collaborate closely with senior managers, directors and partners to deliver value‑added services.

Required skills

• CTA qualification or equivalent experience in indirect taxes.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, customs duties and environmental taxes.
