Indirect Tax Senior

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Senior to lead our VAT, GST, customs duties and other indirect tax compliance across multiple UK locations. You will work closely with finance, legal and supply‑chain teams to embed tax efficiency into everyday business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of indirect tax compliance, including preparation, review and filing of returns.
• Conduct detailed tax analyses to identify liabilities, savings opportunities and ensure compliance with evolving legislation.
• Lead tax audits, liaise with tax authorities and provide required documentation.
• Develop and maintain robust indirect tax policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Advise senior management and business units on tax implications of transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior tax staff and promote continuous professional development.
• Utilise tax technology and automation tools to improve accuracy and reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional (CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of UK indirect tax legislation, including VAT and customs duties.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
