Industrial Cleaner – Manufacturing Cleaning Operator

About the role

This 6‑month contract offers a hands‑on opportunity to clean, prepare and paint motors and gearbox components in a busy manufacturing environment near Leeds. You will work Monday‑Friday, 07:00‑15:00, using specialised cleaning equipment and following strict health‑and‑safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Clean industrial components using COSHH‑approved substances, dry‑ice blasting or industrial wash machines.
• Disassemble, clean and re‑assemble small parts in the correct sequence.
• Move and stage materials to support production flow.
• Recycle or reuse waste materials according to company policy.
• Maintain HSE standards, report near‑misses and incidents, and support a zero‑harm culture.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and help meet quality, cost and delivery targets.

Required profile

• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to handle small parts, follow technical diagrams and instructions.
• Familiarity with power tools; experience with blast machinery is a plus.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
• Willingness to undergo drug, alcohol and medical testing before start.
