Industrial Disease Claims Handler

About the role

You will manage a caseload of complex industrial disease claims from initiation to resolution. The role involves policy investigations, liability assessments and identifying recovery opportunities while aiming to reduce litigation and deliver efficient outcomes. You will join an established, supportive team of claims professionals and develop deeper technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end handling of industrial disease claims.
• Conduct policy investigations and assess liability.
• Identify and pursue recovery opportunities.
• Implement proactive strategies to minimise litigation.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong background in Employer’s Liability / Public Liability (EL/PL) claims.
• Experience or exposure to industrial disease claims.
• Good understanding of legal processes and terminology.
• Confident communication with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and decision‑making abilities.
• Background in insurance or legal environments, including claimant or defendant experience.
