Industrial Management Placement – 12‑Month Project Role

About the role

Join the OneSat programme within Airbus Defence and Space, delivering software‑defined satellites. This 12‑month placement in Portsmouth supports the Payload PMM Industrial team, working closely with assembly, integration and test activities.

Key responsibilities

• Track equipment delivery to the programme in line with production schedules.
• Coordinate supply chain, logistics and production areas across sites to ensure smooth operations.
• Support communication between major modules, including reporting, trade‑offs and analysis.
• Assist the Risk Manager in identifying and handling industrial risks and opportunities.
• Help implement and apply KPIs and other management tools as required.

Required profile

• Undergraduate studying Business Management, Project Management or Operations.
• Basic knowledge of project and process management.
• Experience using MS Office.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Team player with out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
