Industrial Operative – Confined Space (CCNSG)

About the role

We are seeking Industrial Service Operatives to work on confined‑space projects for a client in the North West of England. The role is based at a Runcorn site and involves varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends and occasional travel across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, inspection and cleaning tasks inside confined spaces.
• Follow strict health‑and‑safety procedures, using PPE and breathing apparatus where required.
• Operate tools, equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Work as part of a team to complete jobs on schedule.
• Identify and report hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with company policies and industry regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Valid Confined Space Entry Certification (Medium/High Risk).
• CCNSG or CSCS certification (or equivalent) – preferred.
• Proven experience in confined‑space work, industrial cleaning or a related field.
• Strong understanding of health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in enclosed environments.

Required skills

• Confined Space Entry (Medium/High Risk) certification.
• CCNSG certification.
• CSCS certification.
• Use of personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus.
