Industrial Software Engineer

About the role

This position is for an Industrial Software Engineer who will develop and maintain production‑critical applications in a complex manufacturing environment. The role combines application development, database management, system integration and operational support to improve reliability and performance of business‑critical platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support production‑critical applications primarily using C# and SQL.
• Troubleshoot systems and integrations across complex manufacturing operations.
• Improve system reliability, data integrity and overall performance.
• Support reporting and visualisation solutions, including Grafana and Power BI.
• Contribute to legacy system support and major modernisation projects.
• Collaborate with operational, process control and wider technical teams.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with C# development.
• Good experience with SQL databases.
• Experience working with integrated systems and data flows.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or process‑based environment is desirable.
• Basic understanding of PLCs or industrial control systems is advantageous.
