Information & Cyber Security Analyst – Banking (London, Hybrid)

About the role

This position is for an Information & Cyber Security Analyst within a large banking organisation. The role focuses on protecting the business’s information assets and supporting security initiatives across the enterprise. It is a hybrid role based in London, offering exposure to a broad range of security disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident response activities and investigations.
• Manage vulnerability management programmes, including remediation tracking.
• Operate and tune SIEM platforms for security monitoring.
• Provide security monitoring, threat detection and alert handling.
• Advise internal teams on security best practices and act as a subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Proven experience in incident response, security monitoring and vulnerability management.
• Strong knowledge of technical security tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, Wireshark and Burp Suite.
• Understanding of threat modelling and investigation of security incidents.
• Broad technical background covering Windows, Linux, networking and VMware environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., GCIA, GCIH, GCFA) are advantageous.
