Information & Cyber Security Analyst – Banking – £65k‑£80k (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Our client, a leading banking organisation, is looking for an experienced Information & Cyber Security Analyst to join their London team. The role is hybrid and focuses on protecting the business’s information assets through proactive security measures and rapid incident handling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident response activities, investigating and remediating security events.
• Manage vulnerability assessment programmes and drive remediation efforts.
• Operate and tune SIEM platforms for effective security monitoring.
• Provide security best‑practice guidance and act as a subject‑matter expert for other teams.
• Collaborate on threat modelling and security architecture reviews.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in incident response, vulnerability management and security monitoring.
• Strong understanding of technical security tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, Wireshark and Burp Suite.
• Broad technical knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking and virtualisation (VMware).
• Familiarity with security platforms like Microsoft Defender, Sentinel and query languages such as KQL.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., GCIA, GCIH, GCFA) are advantageous.
