Information Security Analyst – Up to £300/day (6‑month contract)

About the role

Join a leading transport and logistics organisation as an Information Security Analyst within its Group IT function. You will protect critical systems, operational technology and data by monitoring controls, assessing risk and promoting cyber‑security best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve information security controls across the IT estate.
• Support risk assessments, internal audits and compliance activities.
• Investigate security incidents, phishing reports and alerts.
• Produce regular security reporting, metrics and risk updates.
• Support vulnerability management and security testing.
• Deliver cyber‑security awareness initiatives and training.
• Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen security governance.
• Maintain security documentation and provide guidance on best practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Information Security, Cyber Security or IT Security Analyst role.
• Strong understanding of security principles such as risk management, vulnerability management, incident response and access control.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials) and relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SC‑900, Network+).
• Experience with common security technologies including endpoint protection, firewalls, authentication and logging tools.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
