Information Security Manager

About the role

This hybrid position (three days onsite) is with a well‑established financial services organisation seeking an experienced Information Security professional. You will shape the security strategy while staying hands‑on with the latest technologies and supporting key networking initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's information security strategy and day‑to‑day security operations.
• Drive compliance with ISO 27001, NIST and CBEST frameworks.
• Review new infrastructure and cloud services to ensure they meet security standards.
• Manage vulnerability programmes and coordinate external penetration testing.
• Work with outsourced SOC and security partners to investigate and respond to incidents.
• Maintain comprehensive SIEM monitoring across the technology estate.
• Develop, implement and maintain security policies, standards and procedures.
• Assess cyber risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support design and maintenance of secure LAN, WAN and VPN environments, including Cisco networking and firewalls.
• Contribute to disaster‑recovery planning, network resilience and high‑availability initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in information security leadership within a complex, regulated environment.
• Hands‑on expertise with both security governance and network engineering (approximately 90% security, 10% networking).
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to act as the internal security subject‑matter expert.

• Endpoint protection solutions
• SIEM monitoring and incident response
• Vulnerability management and penetration testing
• Security governance aligned to ISO 27001, NIST and CBEST
• Policy development, audit execution and risk assessment
• Familiarity with Rapid7, LogRhythm, Trellix and Symantec Endpoint Protection
• CCNP‑level networking knowledge
