Infrastructure Engineer – Hybrid, Edinburgh

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Managed Services team in Edinburgh. This hybrid position involves supporting, improving and modernising client IT environments across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, networking, security and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 3rd‑line technical support and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
• Design, implement and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Manage hybrid cloud environments, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
• Support security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel and Conditional Access.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and modern management tools.
• Deliver proactive service improvements and infrastructure optimisation.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Projects and Consultancy teams to achieve outstanding customer outcomes.
• Produce technical documentation and assist with client onboarding projects.

Required profile

• Experience with a range of Microsoft and networking technologies.
• Background in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Genuine passion for technology and willingness to learn new tools.
