Infrastructure Engineer – Hybrid (Manchester)

About the role

Adria Solutions is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join its managed services team in Manchester. This hybrid role offers exposure to both Azure cloud and on‑premise environments, allowing you to develop expertise in monitoring, incident management, backup validation, and patching.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage infrastructure alerts across cloud and on‑premise platforms.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents.
• Manage ticket lifecycles through ITSM processes and meet SLA targets.
• Perform daily backup validation and support remediation activities.
• Assist with monthly patching for Windows, Linux, Azure and VMware estates.
• Support Azure and VMware virtual‑machine administration and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in a shared on‑call rota providing first‑response support for critical incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure support, preferably within a managed‑services environment.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms.
• Strong Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to VMware vSphere and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Understanding of backup technologies and operational support processes.
• Good communication, problem‑solving and customer‑service abilities.
• Knowledge of ITIL‑based service‑management practices.
