Infrastructure Engineering Manager – Linux, Kubernetes, Ansible

About the role

This is a senior position within the technology division of a global company, responsible for leading a Systems Administration and Infrastructure team of around seven engineers. The role focuses on architectural decisions and strategic planning rather than day‑to‑day hands‑on work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the infrastructure team.
• Define and own the technical architecture for Linux, Kubernetes, cloud and automation platforms.
• Prioritise and manage project workloads across the team.
• Ensure reliability, security and performance of networking, storage and virtualisation services.
• Oversee automation using Ansible and Puppet, and containerisation with Docker.
• Collaborate with other departments and external vendors.

Required profile

• 7+ years of commercial experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Proven team‑lead or management experience.
• Strong background in Linux administration and network configuration/troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
• Experience with Ansible or Puppet for automation.
