Infrastructure Server Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Server Engineer to join a global technology team supporting a leading financial services organisation. The role is hybrid, based in London with three days onsite per week, and runs for 6‑12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support Windows and Linux server solutions, networking, and IoT environments.
• Deliver proof‑of‑concepts, evaluate new technologies and drive infrastructure enhancements.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and work with Network, Security, Risk and Engineering teams.
• Support cloud‑connected services, APIs, SaaS platforms and authentication technologies (SAML, OIDC).
• Manage infrastructure upgrades, migrations and rollout projects across EMEA, North America and Singapore.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to ensure seamless deployments.

Required profile

• Strong background in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Excellent networking and security knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Shell or Perl).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, APIs, SAML and OIDC.
• Knowledge of IoT/OT devices within enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to work across multiple teams in a fast‑paced, global setting.
