Infrastructure System Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Infrastructure System Engineer to join a well‑established organisation in London. The role sits between support and infrastructure, offering hands‑on ownership of systems, projects and continuous improvement. You will work in a hybrid model, spending two days per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain core infrastructure, including servers, networks and enterprise applications.
• Act as an escalation point for complex support issues.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors and internal stakeholders on upgrades, migrations and security initiatives.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve incidents.
• Contribute to documentation, process improvements and automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking and Microsoft environments.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with cloud, virtualisation or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of cyber‑security principles and best practices.
• Comfortable working on both BAU support and project delivery.
