In‑House Employment Paralegal

About the role

This full‑time in‑house position supports members with a wide range of employment and regulatory issues. You will provide clear, empathetic legal advice and help manage employment tribunal and regulatory cases from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal advice via phone and email on employment matters, including self‑employment queries.
• Research and analyse professional body regulatory issues for members.
• Advise on internal disciplinary processes, grievance hearings, and consultation meetings.
• Prepare instructions for union representatives and draft tribunal documents such as case plans, claim forms, schedules of loss, and witness statements.
• Manage caseloads of employment tribunal claims and regulatory matters with accurate record‑keeping.
• Stay up‑to‑date with employment law changes and develop reference materials for the team.
• Collaborate on shared projects and initiatives with colleagues.

Required profile

• LLB or CILEX qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in employment law and a genuine interest in claimant work.
• Desirable: LPC qualification, understanding of trade‑union structures, familiarity with civil procedure, and exposure to regulatory work.
