Insider Risk Manager

About the role

Our client is seeking an Insider Risk Manager to lead the global Insider Risk and Data Loss Prevention capability within their Global Cyber Operations. The role combines product ownership, strategic planning, and hands‑on technical execution to protect the organization from data loss.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a global Insider Risk and DLP team, establishing consistent ways of working and succession planning.
• Own the end‑to‑end Insider Risk strategy, operating model, product roadmap, service improvement plan and budget.
• Define, monitor and tune detection controls across endpoint, email, cloud, web and collaboration channels.
• Oversee case handling standards, investigation quality, evidence management and escalation frameworks.
• Drive operational efficiency through AI‑enabled investigation workflows and alert automation.
• Manage vendor relationships and integrate platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Sentinel, Proofpoint and ServiceNow DLP.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading or managing Insider Risk, DLP or cyber investigation teams.
• Strong technical understanding of DLP/Insider Risk technologies, detection logic and tuning.
• Track record of handling high‑risk data loss events and sensitive investigations with confidentiality.
• Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs and budgets in an agile or product‑centric environment.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with HR, Legal, Privacy, Compliance and Information Security stakeholders.
• Skilled at tracking KPIs/KRIs, preparing audit evidence and automating processes to reduce false positives.
