Inspection Quality Engineer

About the role

Our client, a global leader in the aerospace, military and defence sector, is seeking an Inspection Quality Engineer to join their Inspection Team in Denham. The role focuses on planning and executing First Article Inspections for a seat programme, using the QPM FAIR software system.

Key responsibilities

• Plan First Article Inspection activities against programme requirements and schedule Patrol Inspection Audits.
• Carry out First Article Inspections and produce detailed reports for top‑level seat assemblies and deliverable items.
• Conduct Patrol Inspection Audits, generate reports and maintain a Measure of Effectiveness spreadsheet for corrective actions.
• Verify that completed FAIs comply with QAI‑148 / AS9102 standards.

Required profile

• Background in manufacturing or engineering, preferably within aerospace.
• Experience as a Quality Engineer or Inspector, with knowledge of AS9100 audits and AS9102 First Article Inspection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 2‑D and 3‑D images.
