Insurance Account Handler

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Account Handler to join a well‑established brokerage in Hove. You will work with a supportive team, providing first‑class service to clients throughout the insurance journey.

Key responsibilities

• Manage insurance policies from inception through renewal.
• Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations for new business and renewals.
• Prepare professional quotations, policy documentation, schedules, certificates and renewal paperwork.
• Process mid‑term adjustments and policy amendments.
• Raise invoices, assist with premium collection and support credit control.
• Respond to client enquiries by phone and email, delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate records in the company’s CRM system.
• Support Account Executives and the broader broking team with day‑to‑day administration.
• Ensure all work complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Insurance Account Handler, Broker Support or Insurance Administrator.
• Excellent administration and organisational abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.

Required skills

• Acturis (or similar insurance broking platform) – advantageous.
• Microsoft Office suite.

What we offer

• Salary £28,000‑£33,000 DOE.
• Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm working hours.
• Hybrid working after a six‑month probation (three days in office, two days remote).
