Insurance Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Insurance Accountant to manage financial records and ensure regulatory compliance for a leading insurance organisation in the City of London. The role involves day‑to‑day accounting, supporting budgeting and providing financial insights to aid business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with insurance‑specific financial regulations and standards.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies and support month‑end close.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Analyse financial data and present recommendations for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes.
• Prepare tax returns and other statutory filings.
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors as required.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Relevant experience within the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with financial software.

What we offer
