Integration and Transformation Manager

About the role

The Integration and Transformation Manager will lead the strategic development and delivery of integrated health and social care within Midlothian. Working on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, the postholder will support the Midlothian Integrated Joint Board (IJB) and the Chief Officer/Joint Director in advancing the board’s strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic business agenda of the Integrated Joint Board.
• Develop, monitor and report on the implementation of the IJB’s strategic plan.
• Provide deputy leadership for the Executive Leadership Team and act as Director’s deputy when required.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and statutory requirements governing Integrated Joint Boards.
• Collaborate with health and social care partners to drive integrated service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in writing organisational strategy for health or social care organisations.
• Deep understanding of the statutory framework for Integrated Joint Boards.
• Strong analytical and solution‑focused mindset.
• Ability to lead compassionately and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
