Intercity Bus and Coach Driver (Night Shift)

About the role

Various start dates are available for a night‑shift driver with Ember, the UK’s first fully‑electric, zero‑emission coach company. Based in Aberdeen, you will join a fast‑growing team supporting new route launches and delivering a sustainable public‑transport service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the electric coach safely during night shifts, ensuring smooth driving, proper braking and adherence to schedules.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for passengers, assisting with luggage, answering queries and providing a friendly welcome.
• Maintain the coach interior clean and tidy throughout the day, performing light cleaning duties as needed.
• Use Ember’s new technology systems to enhance the passenger experience and report any issues.
• Provide constructive feedback on operations and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Full PCV licence – Category D minimum.
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card (or ability to obtain quickly).
• Demonstrated high‑quality, safety‑focused driving.
• Flexibility to work any day of the week, including rotating night‑shift patterns (starting between 6 pm and 11 pm).
• Personal transport to reach the Bridge of Don base in Aberdeen.

What we offer

• Starting rate £16.50 per hour, rising to £17.30 after one year and up to £19.80 for overtime.
