Intercity Bus & Coach Driver – Aberdeen

About the role

Ember is the UK's first fully‑electric, zero‑emission coach company, operating multiple routes across Scotland. We are expanding our Aberdeen hub and driver team to support new route launches.

Key responsibilities

• Operate electric coaches safely and efficiently on intercity routes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for passengers, assisting with luggage and providing a friendly welcome.
• Maintain the coach interior clean and presentable throughout the shift.
• Use Ember’s proprietary technology systems to enhance the passenger experience.
• Perform light cleaning duties and report any vehicle issues.
• Contribute ideas for service improvements in a constructive manner.

Required profile

• Full PCV licence – Category D minimum.
• Up‑to‑date CPC and digital tachograph card (or ability to obtain quickly).
• Demonstrated high‑quality, safe driving with smooth braking.
• Flexibility to work early, late, or night shifts on any day of the week.
• Personal transport for commuting to the Aberdeen hub.
• Based a few miles from Aberdeen city centre.

What we offer

• Starting rate £16.50 per hour, rising to £17.30 after one year.

• Relief contracts at £18.49 per hour (base rate plus holiday pay).
• Overtime rates beginning at £19.80 per hour.
