Intercity Bus & Coach Driver – Oban

About the role

Ember, the UK’s first fully‑electric, zero‑emission coach company, is launching its newest hub in Oban. We are looking for professional drivers who are passionate about electric vehicles and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a state‑of‑the‑art electric coach safely and efficiently on intercity routes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for passengers, assisting with luggage, answering queries and ensuring a pleasant journey.
• Maintain the coach’s cleanliness and perform light cleaning duties throughout the day.
• Utilise Ember’s proprietary technology systems to enhance the passenger experience.
• Contribute ideas for service improvement and help resolve day‑to‑day operational challenges.

Required profile

• Full PCV licence (Category D minimum).
• Valid CPC and digital tachograph card (or ability to obtain quickly).
• Demonstrated high‑quality driving with smooth braking and a strong safety focus.
• Flexibility to work early, late, night shifts and weekends, with advance rota notice.

What we offer

• Starting rate £17.50 per hour, rising to £21.00 for overtime.
