Interim Accountant – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Accountant to join a growing finance team in Manchester on a temporary basis. The role offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities and supports your professional development within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss analysis and commentary.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and calculate accruals and pre‑payments.
• Execute daily bank reconciliations across multiple currencies.
• Support the compilation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packs.
• Help with audit preparation and respond to audit queries.
• Prepare and post payroll journals while maintaining strong financial controls.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial support to the finance team as required.
