Interim Business Partner – Finance (University)

About the role

This interim position supports the Finance Department of a London‑based university during a key change programme. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, you will provide hands‑on financial management and analysis at Grade 9.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and modelling focused on cost management and savings programmes.
• Provide insights that influence strategic financial decisions at senior executive level.
• Collaborate closely with the Management Accounts team and senior leadership, including the Deputy Vice‑Chancellor and Executive Deans.
• Work within a hybrid arrangement, attending the office 1‑2 days per week.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or comparable industry experience.
• Familiarity with higher‑education finance models or commercial education sector finance.
• Proven experience in FP&A or hands‑on management accounting.
• Strong ability to present financial data clearly to senior stakeholders.
