About the role
We are seeking an interim Chartered Civil Engineer to join our Edinburgh team and deliver a variety of energy infrastructure projects, including on‑shore wind, solar farms, battery storage, ports, and grid upgrades.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver civil works for on‑shore wind farms, solar farms, BESS, ports and harbours, and grid upgrade schemes.
- Prepare detailed designs for roads, access tracks, foundations, cable routes, compounds, platforms, bridges and drainage systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and manage occasional travel to client sites and project locations.
Required profile
- Chartered Civil Engineer with proven experience in energy infrastructure projects.
- Legal right to work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence.
- Based in Edinburgh and willing to travel as required.
Required skills
- Civil engineering design for energy infrastructure.
- On‑shore wind farm and solar farm civil works.
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) civil design.
- Port and harbour civil engineering.
- Road, access track, foundation, cable route, bridge and drainage design.
