Interim Chief Financial Officer

About the role

This interim CFO position supports a mid‑market, private‑equity‑backed services business that is executing an ambitious buy‑and‑build strategy. Over an initial six‑month mandate, you will work closely with the CEO, Board and investors to build a finance function that can sustain rapid acquisition‑led growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable finance organisation covering Financial Control, FP&A, Treasury and Commercial Finance.
• Develop robust financial governance, reporting processes and KPI dashboards for a PE‑backed growth company.
• Prepare high‑quality PE, board and covenant reports, and manage lender relationships.
• Lead acquisition finance activities, including due diligence, financial modelling, integration planning and post‑deal execution.
• Oversee ERP implementation and standardisation across the group.
• Improve cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital management and overall financial performance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as CFO or Finance Director in a private‑equity‑backed business.
• Proven track record supporting buy‑and‑build strategies and acquisition‑driven growth.
• Extensive experience leading finance integration after acquisitions.
• Strong background in building or enhancing FP&A functions in scaling organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver PE, lender and board reporting.
