Interim Commercial Assistant – 6‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role

This 6‑month fixed‑term position supports the Commercial team in managing supplier relationships, processing invoices and delivering commercial projects across a large estate. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will act as a liaison between suppliers, operational teams and internal stakeholders to ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier invoicing and spend across multiple service providers.
• Ensure invoices are approved, paid accurately and on time.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve service issues raised by operational teams.
• Support Business Development Managers with requests for additional services.
• Assist in seasonal programmes such as summer and winter planting initiatives.
• Verify that services are in place following capital‑investment projects.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve supplier value.
• Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
• Support commercial projects, trials and business‑improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
