About the role
We are seeking an Interim Credit Controller to join a leading business in Bedford on a three‑month temporary contract. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office, and offers the chance to work within an established team that consistently exceeds its credit targets.
Key responsibilities
- Chase late or non‑payment from customers.
- Allocate cash receipts to the correct accounts.
- Resolve queries raised by clients or internal teams.
- Set up new customer accounts in the credit system.
- Report on the status of overdue accounts and overall debt levels.
- Provide support to the Senior Credit Controller as needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance function.
- Customer‑focused and solutions‑driven attitude.
- Confidence in dealing with queries and building relationships at all organisational levels.
Required skills
- Strong Excel proficiency.
- Good general IT skills.
