Interim EMEA Payroll Specialist – Global Telecom

About the role

We are seeking an Interim EMEA Payroll Specialist to join a global payroll team supporting end‑to‑end payroll operations across more than 20 countries in the EMEA region. The role will be based in Maidenhead and will work closely with HR, employees and external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day administration of assigned payrolls, processing salaries, statutory deductions, benefits and other payments.
• Collect, review and validate payroll data with HR and internal stakeholders before submission to third‑party providers.
• Support complex payroll activities including cross‑border transactions, employee mobility and international payroll considerations.
• Assist the Payroll Lead in delivering payroll services across the EMEA region within an outsourced environment.
• Act as primary point of contact for payroll queries and escalations, providing high‑level service to employees and vendors.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain controls over payments to vendors, benefit providers and statutory authorities.
• Maintain payroll process documentation, controls and procedures to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end payroll across multiple European countries.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll models and third‑party payroll providers.
• Familiarity with integrated HR and payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and controls in a regulated environment.
• Understanding of employee benefits and related compensation processes.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
