Interim Finance Accountant – 6-Month Contract

About the role

The client, a well‑known leisure organisation, is seeking a proactive Interim Finance Accountant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will support the finance team during a system implementation, ensuring continuity across management accounting, transactional finance and data migration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month‑end processes such as accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Provide cover for purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash‑management activities.
• Support financial reporting and analysis as required.
• Cleanse, validate and transfer financial data for a new finance system implementation.
• Identify and improve finance processes and controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.

Required profile

• Qualified, part‑qualified or qualified‑by‑experience accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
• Comfortable supporting transactional finance processes.
• Strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
