Interim Finance Manager – 6 month contract

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Finance Manager for a 6‑month assignment with a leading global provider of digital business solutions. The role is based in Leeds and offers a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two days remote). You will partner with senior leaders to drive financial performance and ensure robust fiduciary control across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and evaluate a team of three or more finance professionals to meet monthly deliverables and service level agreements.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations, maintaining strong financial controls.
• Lead the month‑end close process in collaboration with Accounting and Operations teams.
• Analyse the P&L, investigate variances and provide clear explanations for material budget or forecast changes.
• Oversee planning, budgeting and rolling forecasting, including financial modelling for pricing proposals.
• Partner with business leaders to challenge operational assumptions and translate strategy into accurate financial work‑products.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Extensive experience managing high‑volume reconciliations and rigorous financial controls in a complex environment.
• Proven track record in commercial budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Previous experience leading and developing a finance team.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
