Interim Finance Manager – Poole

About the role

This interim Finance Manager position is based in Poole and supports a fast‑growing, PE‑backed business. Working within a lean finance team, you will report directly to the CFO and partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight that drives strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own cash‑flow forecasting, production and reporting.
• Oversee transactional finance processes and payroll.
• Lead month‑end close, ensuring timely and accurate management accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, intercompany accounting and financial statements.
• Liaise with auditors and manage audit preparation.
• Analyse KPIs and contribute to senior management meetings.
• Support future forecasting alongside software and risk teams.
• Review commercial contracts, manage invoicing and coordinate with the Accounts Assistant.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a broad SME finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Solid understanding of month‑end, year‑end and audit processes.
• Confidence using finance systems and upper‑intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
